International Yoga Day (created in 2014 by the United Nations) is a recognized + celebrated holiday in 180+ countries. It falls on Wednesday, June 21 this year (yep, #yogaeverydamnday – but especially today) and local studios are getting their ommmm on in celebration. ⬇️

🕉 Yoga Masala | hot yoga | Offers a special “Yoga for Everyone” class every Wednesday that’s designed for people with disabilities. (Honor the Summer Solstice today with 11 teachers leading yogis through 108 sun salutations from 5:30-8 p.m.)

🕉 Fit Columbia | wall, aerial silk + bring-your-dog yoga | Walk-ins are welcome to attend aerial yoga classes, 7 p.m. every Thursday.

🕉 City Yoga | basic, experienced + yin yoga | Offers a variety of workshops + teacher trainings.

Instructors hope International Yoga Day will bring awareness to the growing local yoga community and help spread the practice’s broader message of positivity + acceptance. Yoga Masala encourages yogis to use the hashtag #yogaactsofkindness to spread the word.
