Recruitment begins for Lexington Medical Center’s new GME program

The Graduate Medical Education (GME) program has a mission to train the next generation of primary care providers to meet the Midlands’ growing need for quality healthcare services.

Construction began this year on Lexington Medical Center’s new 45,000-sqft instructional space + patient care clinics, which will house its Graduate Medical Education (GME) program in partnership with the University of South Carolina.

Up next: Recruitment is underway for residents of the Family Medicine Residency Program, which will begin next summer.

Poised to be the largest family medicine residency in South Carolina, the program is the first of additional primary care-focused residency programs to be established over the next five to six years. Learn more + apply.*
