Hey Cola, are y’all up for an ~artsy~ road trip? ArtFields 2019 begins this weekend, and you won’t want to miss all it has to offer. The art competition based in Lake City, S.C. focuses on celebrating + awarding artists from the southeast. Starting this Fri., April 26 through Sat., May 4, you’ll be able to tour galleries, vote on People’s Choice Awards + find the perfect Insta-worthy spots with your besties.

Here are a few fun facts you should know about Artfields before you load up your car for a day trip:

  • ArtFields was started in 2013 as a way to reignite Lake City’s energy + economy.
  • Visitors attending the competition can vote for the winners of two People’s Choice Awards — for two- and three-dimensional art.
  • ArtFields gives away $140,000 in cash prizes – including a $50,000 grand prize.
  • You’ll be able to see up to 400 works of art in Lake City’s locally-owned venues.
  • All of the artists come from + celebrate the southeast.

Bonus: you’ll also be supporting Soda Citizens. 19 of the artists represented this year are from the Columbia area. Not to mention, last year’s grand prize winner Michaela Brown was from Cola.
