Reflecting on our year in Columbia

You get a lil’ bit of everything living in South Carolinabeaches, mountains, cities, small towns. You name it, you can probably find it somewhere in the state. Except for skyscrapers. We don’t have too many of those.

The State put together a list of 50 things to do in S.C. before you die, and here are five of our personal must-dos from the list – most of which you can do right here in Cola:

🌴 Attend a Carolina vs. Clemson football game | This in-state rivalry is one of the best in college football. Actually go inside the game – tailgating alone does not count.

🌴 Float or kayak the Congaree | Hit up Palmetto Outdoors for your gear + pack a cooler.

🌴 Dig in on the S.C. BBQ Trail | We may serve mustard, light tomato, heavy tomato + vinegar sauce here, but everyone knows mustard-based is the real deal.

🌴 Witness the synchronous fireflies show at Congaree National Park | Special because CNP is one of the only places in the U.S. you can witness this natural phenomenon – which only happen a few weeks each year.

🌴 Buy a Hootie and the Blowfish album | Need we explain this one?

See all 50 S.C. activities.
