Debug the hiring challenges in S.C. IT ⌨

S.C.’s technology sector is steadily growing by 9% each year, but it’s also running into challenges filling jobs (6,400 openings at the end of 2016) – largely due to the fact that the people seeking employment aren’t meeting all of the qualifications, like having the desired IT skills or customer service experience.

Along with finding the right talent, the IT sector also reported challenges finding women and minorities to hire (specifically Hispanics + African Americans), as well as in-state talent.

According to a poll, the hardest IT jobs to fill in the U.S. are network engineers + software developers. Where y’all at?
