DYK that one blood donation has the power to save up to 3 local lives?

Donating blood (and plasma, platelets + more) is about to get even easier thanks to The Blood Connection’s new Lexington center, opening May 16 at 5141 Sunset Blvd., near Lexington Pavilion’s Five Guys.

The 4,100-sqft center will have 9 donor beds where community members can donate plasma, platelets, and double red cells, in addition to whole blood. Here’s a breakdown of these 4 donation types from our sister newsletter CHStoday.

TBC’s blood donation mobile units will also be based at this center before they make their way around the Midlands — keep an eye out for upcoming mobile drives happening near you.
