Save the date for United Way of the Midlands’ United for the Future: A Concert & Conversation with Peter Buffett, sponsored by Colonial Life, coming up on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 7-9 p.m. at the Columbia Museum of Art.

United for the Future is a free multimedia performance filled with music, storytelling + an exclusive opportunity to participate in an interactive conversation on community solutions with Peter Buffett, musician, writer, philanthropist + youngest son of investor Warren Buffett. (Read: He’s kind of a big deal.)

Buffett will combine live performance with audience participation to explore causes he’s passionate about, like the empowerment of women + minorities, human trafficking + the rights of indigenous peoples. Buffett believes strongly that major change begins on a local level.

This fits right in with United Way of the Midlands’ mission: To build stronger communities by ensuring individuals are engaged and lending their voices + perspectives.
