#Answered: Where to pick a pumpkin 🎃

Goodbye, Summer; hello, spook season. Fall is finally upon us (temps are below 80º, y’all – this is not a drill), and we can’t think of a better way to get spirited than with an outing to the local patch to pick out your very own great pumpkin.

We #asked you where the best pumpkin patches in Cola are, and you #answered. Here are some of your top picksyou’d better get on it before they’re gone.

They have minis, regular, heirloom, warty pumpkins + gourds. Not only do they have pumpkins galore – but they’re also stocked with mums, hay bales + corn stalks.

I went last year, and it took forever to pick one – because they were all so perfect. They also have a massive corn maze, kid-friendly games and house-made apple cider slushies.

S.C. State Farmers Market | 3483 Charleston Hwy. | Mon.-Fri., 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; vendor hours may vary | 💸 wholesale pumpkins, vendor prices vary | The market itself has half-bushel minis for $20 and regular sized 2-3-foot bins priced from $135-200.

Lathams Produce | 906 Meeting St. | Thurs.-Sun., 10 a.m.-6 p.m. | 💸 minis are $1, medium-sized are $3 + Giants are $12 | Lathams is the perfect stop on your way home from work. They have minis, small, regular, giant, gourds, whites and the ugly/bumpy ones – a.k.a every pumpkin you could dream of – and they don’t stop there. You can also pick up apples, local honey and fresh veggies.

Pumpkins are my favorite part of Fall (besides the trick-or-treating, obviously). I love to get creative. Last year, my boyfriend and I picked up some pumpkins and decked our porch out with Jack Skellington + Dwight Schrute look-a-likes – and it was honestly the best thing ever. Picking + carving pumpkins is a great way to make memories and I can’t wait to hit the patch and see what we bring to life this year.

Pro tip: You can make your pumpkins last longer by soaking them in a bleach/water mixture after carving.

Happy Fall,
